Gun commercials. Cool

Just saw a Henry rifle commercial out of no where watching tv. AHC channel. Surprised but I like it. That's something you unfortunately don't see on average cable or local channels. I hope it becomes a trend. It would be nice to see some ruger or smith and wesson commercials or the like. Never gave it much thought before. Good for Henry rifles. Maybe some handgun manufactures can promote the normality of carrying handguns for defense while advertising the weapons. If done tastefully this would be great for pro gunners.

Yeah, Sportsman's Channel or Outdoor Channel are about the only place to see the S&W or Ruger ads.

It would be kinda cool to see one of the Brett Favre Remington or R. Lee Ermey Glock spots during CSI or something similar.

I have seen the Henry ads you mentioned, but it seems like it was later in the evening on the History Channel or the like.

Gun commercials on network TV?

Never much thought about them but you're right they just aren't there.

Are there any restrictions like for cigarettes or hard liquor ads?

I'm actually a bit afraid gun commercials would fan the anti-gun folks cause but hey, it might be nice to see something besides drugs and cars in ads on TV.

Progress! Nice.

I particularly like the S&W M&P ads with the rhythm being laid down with the cycling of actions on the pistols and rifles.

I think if they overplay certain scenarios. Like the scared woman alone type thing. They could "fan" the flames of the anti's. Or if the commercials get goofy or light hearted like commercials for other products. If they can keep a serious more based on product and practicality it would be good. Say. Confident looking female rather than scared out of her mind type, setting her weapon up and explaining the importance of security and the responsibility thereof. And how her choice in hangun is good. It would be empowering on all fronts.
