I inherited all of these guns. Most of them are still in like-new condition in the box. I was wondering what the value of these guns is?

A ballpark number would be great.

OK, at the risk of being called nasty things and hurting people's feelings, I'll give this a whirl. Keep in mind this is partially location dependent, these are the prices I'd be interested in here in our little corner of the Northeast. (I worked at a gunshop for 6 months full-time.)

Walther 9mm WAP-64581 8664 Another unknown. Condition and markings are everything.

S&W .22 2206 6 Trade: $150-200, Retail: $300

S&W .38 36 2 Trade: $325, Retail: $550

S&W .357 66 2 ½ Trade: $400-450, Retail: $700-750

Don't take these as hard and fast prices, but they should get you in the ballpark. The short-barreled K-frames are especially interesting from a reseller's perspective, because demand is pretty good. The .357s in particular would sell very easily. The Colt is a could be good, could be bad. It IS a Colt, the name alone does actually help the valuation and resale.
 
I think your retail prices for some are a little high. I recently bought a S&W 19-3 RB snub for $350 in very good condition (barely a turn line) from - of all places - Gander Mountain. You KNOW they had 30% profit in that price as well.

Values will all depend on condition and model variations, especially on the Smiths

For $350 I would've bought a snub 19 without even thinking about what I was going to do with it! Somebody got taken to the cleaners and you sir got a screaming deal. :cool: (I would've put that gun on Gunbroker and expected $550-600 without breaking a sweat.)

And I did say it's local market dependent. I live in the land where $5000 a year in property taxes for a 1400-square foot home on 4 acres is actually considered inexpensive. (We grumble about paying it but it's still cheaper than a larger house on half the land.) $500-600 is the going rate for any clean, medium frame S&W with adjustable sights. Don't even get me started on N-frames...

I would say P-990's estimates are reasonably accurate.
Only exception, the 2206. It is the all stainless steel version of the cheaper 422/622 series. I see those regularly sell in the $450 range.

I agree, P-990. I even thought your retail estimate of $700.00 was on the low side, no matter the butt configuration but especially for a round butt Model 19. But, as you say, there are a lot of factors that play into making even "ball park" estimates for any given firearm. I think the prices you suggested to the op were pretty much spot on.

I think p-990's price list is a bit high.
I mean around here revolvers just don't command those sorts of prices.
I can't really price out your collection as some of those guns I truely have no idea.. but I'll ask this are you just curious as the value? or are you looking to sale?

And now I'll say this.
I inherited a few guns from my father when he passed away and would have to be in dire need of money before I'd sell any of them, and I would certainly liquidate my own collection first before I'd part with his.
If I absolutely had to sell them to raise money I'd try to sell them to someone in the family.

My advice is do not sell them, do not even THINK of selling them, Value is of no consequence unless for insurance purpose.
IF you don't want them find someone in the family that does.

It's a very nice collection to boot.
 
If the guns are like new with the box I'd say P-990's prices are accurate if not low in some cases.

If someone can find me a good condition model 19 for $350 I'd buy one for myself and one for you. That price is crazy low.
 
Enjoy your collection , in my area what P-990 agave would be a good estimate for you to go by, as stated prices vary by location and very a lot on condition .
 
I think P-990 deserves a big thank you. I sure wasn't going to go down that list. Even if we disagree with some of the prices he gave us a starting point for our discussions.

A lot will also depend on which variation of the model it is. Some, especially older S&Ws with P&R barrels, etc. bring more than a late version.
 
It's a good thing that these were given to you and not purchased by you because I have a feeling that you'd be disappointed in the amounts offered for these firearms, whether they are "collectable" or not.

Being as they are S&W rather than Taurus is a good thing. Also S&W revolvers rather than S&W autos is a good thing in my opinion.

You didn't get a box full of Glocks which is also a good thing. The market always seems to be "soft" when it come to selling used Glocks.

Try not to sell on consignment I find this a terrible way to sell firearms and you loose money.
