Gun cases

What kind of gun case do you use to transport your target gun back and forth to the range, hard or soft case. Also, how do you carry your rest and all the accessories.

Creedmore soft case for the target rifles.... They are some of the best out there. As far as carrying other gear, you can use a range cart. Again, Creedmore makes one and you can get an example on their website, but they are very expensive. Worth it if you do a lot of competitions and have to drag your gear long distances. If you are just hauling stuff from your car to local range, there are a lot of wagons and carts available

I use an older (1981) GunGuard hard case made by Plano. But I have soft also, I have a lambswool line leather soft case that I carry rifles to te range in, usually the mauser with the nice stock.:)

The guns are in a hard case and the rest of the equipment are in plastic ammo containers and tool boxes. Tools in one box, cleaning supplies in another, and eye/ear protection plus targets and chronograph in a third box.

soft cases for guns, one of those storage boxes with the interlocking "fingers"on the top from wally world or target or costco (been so long ago). I can put my sand bag rests, targets, ammo, muffs, and all of the other junk one hauls to the range in one box. Add a chair and a target stand and I am good to go

I only have one case that my M1 came in 2 weeks ago...
before that I just shouldered them and walked in with the bolts open.

i have 3 pelican hard cases, 1 single rifle, 1 double rifle/shotgun, and a large pistol case ( holds 4 full size 1911's, or 6 compact autos/ j frames). pelican makes a great product IMO, they are on the higher end of my budget but i think they are worth it

I use Boyt leather soft cases when I go to the range. I keep all of my gear in one of those nylon rolling suitcases you mostly see being dragged through airports by the frequent flyers. It holds everything I need and has little wheels and a collapsible handle so I don't much notice the 45 pounds of range gear inside of it.

I always use a hard case, especially for a scoped rifle. Just seems like a whole lot more protection to me than padded canvas. As far as ammo, hearing protection, and all that jazz, I just throw them in a range bag I picked up from cabellas.
