I went to a local Brandsmart store (electronics, appliances, etc.) today.
They do have a lot of stuff for really good prices, I'll grant them that.
But I noticed in the vestibule that they have a sign posted that says to the effect that "introduction of firearms by other than authorized law enforcement personnel is prohibited" and even specifically outlined the prohibition even for those who have been granted concealed firearm licenses.
I just wanted to inform people that Brandsmart is doing this. You may want to contact them and voice your stern opposition to this kind of idiotic policy (one which cannot possibly make anyone safer, and could in fact make people less safe).

They don't list an email address; just a "contact us" link that opens a window for typing in a message. They don't even have a subject for "complaint." I used "other inquiry." Here is the text I sent them:

This is a customer comment/complaint.
I was at your West Palm Beach, FL location this afternoon and discovered that there is a sign posted in the vestibule that forbids carry of firearms in the store, even by those who are licensed by the state to do so (people who have been thoroughly vetted and background checked and found fit to carry firearms).
I object strongly to this policy, and believe it is utterly wrongheaded and useless. No person who brings a firearm to your stores with criminal intent is going to turn right around and walk out because your store policy says "no guns." So who is it stopping? Only the law-abiding.
I will not be using my money to make purchases at Brandsmart stores until and unless this policy is abandoned.
