Gun buying Frenzy....

So I went to my local Cabela's last night to pick up some winter crappie jigs (pink and black works best) and went over to the gun counter just to see what all the commotion was about.

Wow...

It was like a dam broke and everyone was fighting for whatever was availiable. The shelf was completely bare. They were sold out of ARs (every brand), AKs (also all brands), Springfield M1As, Ruger Mini-14/30s, FN FAL clones, Ruger 10/22s, Remington 7400s, and even Saiga Shotguns. In the vault there were no M1 Garands or M1 Carbines to be seen.

This is insanity, never expected this...

Even happening in the gun friendly state of Wyoming. The administration and the media has everyone in a panic.

I'm not buying, unless you have an old revolver for sale. I like revolvers!:p

I like to visit a few shops on my day off and today was reminiscent of '08. I was very glad that I didn't feel the need to participate. I have stepped up ammo buying a little, though. Mostly because I found it on sale at a sporting goods store that a lot of people forget sell firearms supplies. Picked up over a 1100 rounds of various calibers for $310 plus tax and only 100 of that was .22lr.
