The way I look at it: hopefully its a working firearm, if not we have been having those "Police gun buybacks" here in Ohio more and more lately. Bring any old beat up gun (working or not) and get a $75 grocery or gas gift card. Maybe there is something near you if you are not liking your purchase. You can make your money back plus some

I'm going out on a limb to say that what you see, isn't going to keep this shotgun from being servicable. Looks like a Winchester to me; say a 1300. I have a pretty good idea of what you are going to find on that scope mount and that is why I say that it will be fine and you got a good deal. Get back to us and ley us know how you make out. ...... ;)

its a mossberg 500 with a rifled choke who knows what shape its in i just thought it was interesting oh well i guess we will just have to wait and see how it all shakes out

Looks like an old High Standard/J.C. Higgins model 20. If it's a mossberg, what's the thing in front of the barrel hanger?
For $50 bucks, if it works, it's maybe worth it.:D

$50 Mossberg

The thing in front of the barrel hanger looks like an extended magazine tube. You got a pretty decent deal. It's worth $50 in parts. Sert01

Gunbroker

I have been using Gunbroker for a short time and find it real handy. Just picked up a S&W 317 for $425 with $25 for shipping. It was used, but in great shape. A new one at my dealer is $600 plus $36 tax. A good savings.

the thing in front of the magazine tube was described as a compensator, with the scope on it im thinking some one had set it up as a deer gun and need some weight on it to tame a bit of recoil.

oh well if nothing else the wood furniture should fit my maverick 88 in all seriousness im thinking it will make a good truck gun.
