Gun barrel length accuracy

I have a .32 simiauto "LLAMA" that I am trying to fill out the paperwork on and one of the questions is "barrel length". I measured the barrel length by the ATF Standard Method and it is 3 3/4" (95mm).
Would this be a 3-1/2" barrel, a 3-3/4" barrel, or a 4" barrel?
How nitpicky are the "Powers that be"?

I know this is going to sound sarcastic, but it is intended as a serious question:

Why would you even think that a barrel which measures 3-3/4" by the official BATFE method even might be listed as a 3-1/2" barrel?

It is what it is.

It might be rounded DOWN to the closest 1/2". Who knows?
That's why I'm asking.
I have not seen any advertisements that list "barrel length" in 1/4" increments.
I guess I'll round it up to 4" which seems to be a more standard configuration.

Ruger lists several of it's barrel lengths as 4.2 inches on it's website - that's the minimum length required for a handgun up in Canada.

take a stiff wire (coat hanger) and insert into the bore untill it hits the bolt face (action closed) meassure wire leangth. That is the barrel leangth.
OR Google the specs and use them!

Looked at any ads for 1911s lately?

Commander: 4-1/4"

Officer: 3-1/2"

How about Colt cowboy guns (or Italian clones)? The short "gunslinger" models have 4-5/8" barrels. Ditto for the Ruger single action six guns.
