Gun ban's really don't work...just look at Wash. D.C

The police chief in Wash. D.C last month declared a "crime emergency" for the 3rdtime in two years. It seems they've had 14 homicides in two weeks, now the crime has spread to the affluent neighborhoods. Fox news cited an example of a man who was attacked by a thug, he gave him all of his valuables, the thug killed him anyway. So much for "active compliance"! This just demonstrates the fact that when you deny responsible citizens the right to own and carry guns, crime will run rampant. However, none of the politicians will acknowledge this fact, all they talk about is increased police patrols. Instead of the addage "guns cause crime", it should be replaced with "gun bans cause crime"!!
 
Oh it is just that pesky little "crime emergency" causing DC's problems- or perhaps the fact that they are well known for having a bumper crop of 'unarmed victims.' I am also told that a lot of criminals in that town wear suits and drive limos, which may further complicate the 'criminal avoidance process';)
 
No worse than New York City, Boston, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, Detroit, and on and on. Every big city has a core element of liberal idiots who live sheltered, and protected lives. These are the fruit loops who think that gun bans work. They have the money, they get what they want. So much for a representative government.:mad: :barf:
 
Virginia has a one handgun per month limitation thanks to the pressure DC and politicians exerted. Supposedly bad guys go to Va to buy their handguns, which they use in DC. I gotta get my CCW so I can buy more than one when the mood strikes.

In my opinion you will never get the gun ban folks to see the flawed logic of their position. They will simply want to outlaw all guns everywhere in order to create this peaceful nirvana they envision. It's like public schools in DC. No vouchers, just spend more money on public education, despite the fact that per pupil expenditures in DC are already among the nation's highest and their performance the worst.
 
You guys just don't get it, do you? If guns were NOT banned, just imagine how much worse the murder and violent crime rates in DC would be. The gun ban is the only thing keeping DC from being the world's largest morgue.

(Now, how those other cities without gun bans manage to avoid having bodies stacking up like cordwood in the streets remains a bit of a puzzle.)

Worse now then ever, when are they going to quit covering up. We know the gangs and thugs are the problem.
They care so much for the average citizen that they want to take away their only real protection. Sad.

I was reading the new, latest edition of National Rifleman, everytime I read those columns by the people that are in the organization and running our first line of defense I think I ought to get more involved.
Then I stop and remember how my whole life is involvment and we are in a bigger mess.

Well maybe it is parked in your driveway.

They are busy until it happens to them or a friend, then they care for awhile and then go back into their cubby hole and sleep and dream bad dreams.

Do they think that the gun bans work, or do they know that they don't work but have a different agenda; and whether or not the bans work, they want them for other reasons?

Its also very hypocritical that most of these liberal, elitist, follow me into hell people, either have armed bodyguards or concealed carry permits themselves. Diane Feinstein = concealed carry permit, Rosie O' Donnel = armed body guards, Sylvester Stallone, gun ban supporter, he has a shooting range in his basement. What makes these people morally superior to the rest of us? They don't want the average citizen owning guns because it gives them power, it threatens their ultimate agenda, a society of sheep. Suzanna Gratia Hupp once told Charles Schumer that people own guns to protect themselves from people like you (Schumer).

Rumor has it that Feinstein was one of those made a special "US Deputy Marshal" under the Clinton administration so they could legally carry in DC.
