Gun Ammo Retailers Taking Advantage of the Ammo Shortage?

Its wrong for a retailer to take a customer's money for items they do not have in stock (unless by prior notification and permission from the buyer)

BigDinFL, did you miss the part where the seller assured the buyer they had the items in stock, at the time he paid them, then a month later they told him, "Oops, we really don't have that, it will be a few months"?

That's taking advantage.

In effect, they've taken out a zero interest loan, funded by the buyer, under false pretenses.

Thank you Mleak, that is my point indeed. I demanded an immediate refund and am waiting for a refund

M - yes I missed that, thought otherwise.... I did not read where he was charged money, only that he placed and order and it became backlogged a long time

You are told the item is in stock, then the retailer hacks your credit card. Days or weeks later you are informed the goods are not in stock. Then the runaround and long wait begins.

IMO: That's shysterism.

Greetings,
I along with my fellow shooters have all experieced the backorder and delays in ammo/components these days, however I can see some suppliers may be taking advantage of this situation for $$,

Greetings,

Thanks for letting us know about the shortage and gouging. I'm glad I got a heads up before going out to buy some ammo.

Sorry, that was sarcastic but this has been going on for months now and while I think its fine to discuss the shortage I really think we need a subforum or a consolodated thread or something. Shortage threads are popping up like weeds around here.
