Guide rod stuck

I couldn't get the rod in with the larger side toward the muzzle so I put the smaller side to the muzzle and put the slide on and this happened. How do I get out this???

First,the big end doesn't go towards the front. Does the slide move at all?

It does but I can't get the slide off. I moved the slide, pulled the trigger and tried to move it off. It doesn't budge. I assume I have to go back to the gun shop to leave it with the smith....

That sounds like the best idea. They should be able to do it while you wait then have them show you the correct way to assemble it. In the grand scheme of things,not a big deal just frustrating.

I see the take down release is rotated. Does the slide go all the way back and lock?

If so, try the sear release tool that's in the grip. Then see if the slide will come off.

I'm not very familiar with this particular model, but usually when a gun is in this kind of condition, it's possible to pull hard on the end of the guide rod and manipulate the end (up/down/back/forth) until things get back into the proper situation internally. Then the slide will come off normally.
