Guaridan .32 durable?

I'm thinking of buying a Guardian .32 pistol.

I managed to break my P-32, possibly from excessive shooting. I have not been using it as my range gun, but have shot it quite often, to feel comfortable with it.

I realize the Guardian is quite a bit heavier and thicker than the P-32, but I'm willing to put up with the extra size in exchange for something that will hold up to practice.

-How durable is it?

I'm only interested in the .32. I've shot the .380 and did not like the sharp bite when I fired it.

I'm also aware of guns of similar size in higher calibers, but for now am only interested in the Guardian .32.

Thanks!

The NAA Guardian is built like a tank, backed by the finest customer service anywhere. I originally bought a NAA Guardian 380 and had it melted down and Gutter Snipe sights installed. I was so pleased that I bought a G32 and I intend to customize the same way. Presently, I carry G380 in my right rear pocket in a Ron Graham rear pocket holster.

I've had my .32 Guardian over two years, only about 250 rounds, no problems. Despite the sights being useless I have no problem putting every shot in 6"@15'. For serious use I'd either get the optional sights, or have sights removed. I've used Silvertips, S&B, and a couple other brands, no jams , except last round stovepipes(to be expected-no ejector). Lots of "cute" options. www.naaminis.com

My P32 has been to the shop a few times.
KelTec has excellent customer service.
Let them fix your gun, and continue shooting it.
I am betting that you will be far more accurate with it, than you will be with a Guardian.
Your P32 has a much better trigger, and is much more pleasant to shoot.
I wrote the post below, then I reread you post, and noticed that you already have a P32.
I wish somebody made a "pocket pistol" that didn't have to go back to the factory.
But then, I have been told that I could break a crowbar.

NAA has excellent customer service.
After about a year, my Guardian had been to the factory 3 times for feed problems, lost it's extractor, and the grips came loose every time I shot.
Sold it.

In NAA defense, they sent me a new mag every time I had to send it in.
I think the Guardian falls in the "carry a lot, shoot a little" category.
My problem is, I like to shoot my guns a lot.
The Guardian is no fun to shoot.
(Long, hard trigger pull, sharp recoil.)
If you intend to get proficient with it, then shoot it a few times a year, it should give you good service.

I've had a Guardian for four years and I've lost track of how many rounds I put through it. Certainly, it is somewhere in the vicinity of 1500 rounds. It still functions beautifully.
I also have a P-32 that I shoot seldom and carry only a little. It has a trigger pull inferior to that on the Guardian, sights that are even more ridiculous than those on the Guardian, and a too-thin grip that ddoesn't fit my hand as well as the Guardian. It is, however, somewhat lighter.
It amazes and amuses me to hear people talk about the recoil of the P-32 being so much lighter than that of a blowback operated pistol. We are talking about a .32 acp, fer chrissake! Likewise, the weight issue. Before the p-32 came along, people carried all manner of other pistols w/o herniating themselves. Yet now, folks are willing to gamble on a pistol with a dodgy reputation in order to save a few ounces.
I have one and have experience with several more, and I don't trust the Keltec P-32. They are an excellent idea that was poorly executed.

The Guardian is a very rugged design. I used to have a Guardian 32 and a KelTec P32. My KelTec also kept breaking. I have ended up with a Guardian 380. The Guardian 32 is probably more durable than the KelTec, but it weights more. With the blow back design the Guardian also has sharper recoil. As Golgo-13 said, I laugh when people complain of the punishing recoil of any 32acp. Watch-Six

Speaking of the strength of Gaudians - Peter Pi of Corbon is teaming up with NAA to make a .32 with more punch. 60grains at 1200fps+ from a Gaurdian. Check out Sandy's Soapbox on the NAA site (http://www.naaminis.com).

I really like mine as it can go where most guns can't. Built extremely well and covered by a lifetime warranty from a first class company.

The Guardian frame/slide is built by Kahr Arms. IMO, the MK9 may be a better gun. Its just a smidgen bigger and packs the 9mm vs. .32/.380 round.

The Guardian kept taking a bite out of my hand (web of skin between thumb and first finger - ouch!)
