Anyone on here have one of these? I bought my wife one, and she
really loves it! She had never fired a gun in her life, and I bought
her a GSG-522 and put a red dot on it. After I got it sighted in, she
shot a few rounds through it, and was really puttin em in the bullseye.
Im hoping to get her started in IHMSA silhouette shooting, now that
Ive got her shooting SOMETHING! Anyway, these little rifles are really
alot of fun. Just wanted to get someone else's feedback.

I believe the 522 is the 2nd generation gsg-5, the one they made after HK sued them. I have an original gsg-5 and it is one of my favorite guns to shoot. (mainly because its so cheap)

The difference would be cosmetic due to being sued as hksnpr223 pointed out I bought mine before that time and of course paid more for it than I should have. The rifle it self is typical for rim fires you have to clean it periodically there are several things you can do to improve it as well
1) is changing the screw set. http://rrages.com/root/screw/index.htm this allows for a easier break down for cleaning as the original screws requires a special tool to take it down and they eventually wear out due to **** pour design.
2) Place a new nylon buffer up front for the charging handle http://rrages.com/buffer/index.htm prevents it from slamming in the front of the receiver which is pot metal.
great rifle though I would buy another one.
