Grock: Why No Stainless Slides?

OK so what if Tennifer works better? It's not just about performance...it's about luxury! I want stainless, dammit.

Caspian slide!

Check out www.glockmeister.com and chk out the pics people have sent in. One is a G23 w/ a Caspian Arms slide made in VT! The gun is the carry piece for my local shop owner. He showed it to me about a month ago and it does look cool! He also said he likes the slight extra weight the caspian slide adds. He's at www.parros.com and I think he said he was thinking about selling it.

I can't understand why anyone would want stainless on a Glock, but if some pholks do, they should offer it.

I guess that I don't care what they do to the appearance as long as they don't put a damnable manual safety on it.

The black finish isn't Tenifer; it's Parkerizing. The Tenifer finish is applied to the metal in a 900 degree Centigrade nitrate bath, and is impregnated into the slide.

There are a few outfits that'll remove the Parkerizing from a Glock slide. I don't know why folks want a shiny Glock, but that's the glory of a capitalist society–if someone's willing to pay for it, someone else will do it.
