anyone have experience with this? its expansion looks NAASSSTTYYY! i saw some at a gun show but its like 50 bucks for a box. would any of you that have used grizzly recommend it for CC?
primary bear was black. There I carried either a 4" .357 with Federal 180gr Hot cast lead bullets or in a 5" .45 ACP, used old Hornady 230gr FMJ-FP ammo.
thanks for your posts but im NOT talking about actual bear hunting. grizzly ammo is what its called. i would never depend on a pistol for a bear of any size
I bought a box of their .357 load and I fired it out of a Rossi snub .357 that I just had around because a friend needed some cash and I got it CHEAP si I didnt care about abusing it and aside from being absolutely brutal to fire after 1 cylinder full it cracked my forcing cone and the front of the cylinder that held that round. I would only shoot that load again in maybe a GP100 or a lever action .357. They are exspensive and punishing and to answer your question though my experience is limited to 1 box and 1 caliber no I would not reccomend it for CCW. That load would blast right through a human body even if it did mushroom and still be carrying far more then enough to kill someone in the backstop. Most bullets will go through but that load would go through with authority.
