my paw is too big for the standard rubber on my 686 and 17. I'd appreciate your recommendations for replacements.
Thanks

I'd say...

I'd say buy some Pachmayr rubber grips. They are good. My dad has a little snub-nose .38 Special that I've fired with Pachmayr grips and they are very comfortable. He and I said that the wooden grips I have on my .38 Special are too small so we are ordering some Pachmayrs for mine.

No offense but rubber is for Wussies! I didn't think the military was taking 13 year olds. Where'd you see combat???;)

I have pretty big hands... I find the Hogue monogrip to be an excellent grip for my Redhawk. When I get a S&W someday in .357, it will wear the exact same grips as the Ruger.

Oh, and wood rules. For anything up-to-and-including .44magnum, if you actually feel pain you're shooting wrong somehow. Grip angle, finger placement, something's not right if it actually hurts. Rubber is appropriate for supermagnum cartridges, but that's all.

I agree with azredhawk44. I've got the same grips on my 44 colt anaconda. can't go wrong with em.. another thing about them, is it seems like the finger grooves are deeper wich makes for a nice fit.
