Grips for CZ75B?

I want a set of rubber grips for my CZ75B, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. at first I was thinking Hogue because they make nice mushy rubber grips, but they only make "finger grove" wrap-around grips. I just want panel grips.

I installed a set of "Uncle Mikes" rubber panel grips on my CZ75. They are slightly 'fatter' than the factory plastic grips. The only problem that I had was that the grips intruded too far into the magazine area and 'grabbed' the magazine..I had to file the insides of the grips so that the magazine would insert without interference from the grips.
MUCH nicer pistol to shoot with the U.M grips, BTW...

Went to Uncle Mikes site, and bought a set of Butler Creek grips. I'll make a report when I get 'em on.

BB,

When I got my CZ a few weeks ago I also picked up a set of Pachmeyr grips for it. These are the wrap around type but I just used the side panels. Made the grip much nicer and a bit fatter. Works good for my big hands.

I hear that CZ sells rubber side panel grips also. I can't see them on their web site (that section is down) but my local dealer says he has ordered them before. I plan to go with the factory rubber panels when I get the CZ97B I've got my eye on. No one is making aftermarket grips for the 97 yet.

I see you already ordered the Butler Creek versions though so this is all just for future reference. :)

I got a set of those CZ-factory soft rubber grips, originally for my CZ-75, but later put them on my newer CZ-85. They were only $14.00 from my dealer, and very nice. Much nicer than the stock grips.

Just today I received the rubber grip panels for my CZ 75B from CZ-USA, $15.70 delivered. I changed the grip panels out and haven't yet decided if I prefer the new grips yet. No decision until the next trip to the range... :D

Gregg,

How did you go about odering your grips from CZ USA? That part of their web site is down every time I check. Did you get a catalog or order though a dealer?

Thanks.

Joe, I called CZ-USA, 1-800-955-4486, to get the parts number, GRRC75A, of the grip panels and the full price, $12.80+$3.00 S&H. I then send CZ-USA a check with a cover letter. I have placed several orders with them and have always received what I ordered.

BB, I'll try posting this link and see if the pix shows...The rubber panels are similar to the plastic panels in this pic except they are flat black, not shiny, and have no border going around it, like in the photo of this CZ 75BD. These panels also have a very small thumbshelf, more like little bumps, on both panels that I do not notice while holding the pistol. I like the look of the CZ 75 with the rubber grip panels, I just need to get to the range this weekend to find out how they feel in action :)

Lots of posts on this subjest by me and others. do a searc to find out more. DEFINITELY, Don't get the pachmyers, the make the mag hang up int the mag well and they fit like hell. I would be intrigued by the factory rubber mentioned as i don't want the fingergrips of the Hogue but may settle for them. -ddt

Ok, the Uncle Mikes/Butler creek grips arrived, and departed in the same day.

They don't fit flush when installed, they "rock" back and forth on the grip screw (even when tightened) and the forward edge of the grip panel is about 1/16th inch thicker than the stock plastic grips, which produces a pronounced "shelf" between the surface of the grip and the surface of the grip panel. Makes for a crummy feel.

In a word, they SUCK.

I'm ordering the factory rubber panels, I hope they are better.

Black polymer. I'll work on an image. The grips have checkering in the middle, but not around the edges, they fit like a glove and the wood is a beautiful reddish color with dark-brown/black running through it.
