grip help please

I have just purchased a ruger new model sbh hunter, and am trying to replace the grips with some rubber ones that will work for hunting. It seems that all the normal grip manufacturers do not have one that exactly fits this model. Because it has a round trigger guard, the normal sbh grip size wont work. Hogue is telling me that the regular blackhawk grip will work but will leave a gap behind the trigger guard. Has anyone else had any experience replacing grips on this new ruger model?
 
First, Welcome to TFL :).

Secondly, when a new model of gun comes out, most of the grip makers will hold off making grips for it until it becomes popular. Hogue will most likely be the first :).

The Ruger New Model Super Blackhawk with the round trigger frame uses the same grips as the Blackhawk and the Single Six. So any replacement grips for either of these will work for you. I have provided some links so you can read it for yourself. Thanks.
