Grendel P-10 380

I have carried this gun as an off-duty for several years loaded w/ Win 85g Silvertips. I like the very small size and that it holds 10 rounds. It loads through the ejection port so reloading is not an option. For self-defense I think it's adequate, very concealable, nothing to fumble or catch on clothes either.

Any thoughts or experiences.

I have a Grendel P10. The only reason I still have it is because I haven't gotten around to getting rid of it (since it's been about 12 years, I guess you could say I procrastinate a little).

My gun is junk. It jams more than it fires. Have never succeeded in shooting a full 10 round load without a jam.

If your gun functions, then it is fine for a carry gun. Given the size of the gun, my preference would be to get a Glock 27. For about the same physical size, you get 10 rounds of .40 S&W.

The first lot of the P-10 with a four digit SN were junk. None of these were reliable.

The second lot with the five digit SN were much better. I have seen several of these that were 100% reliable.

The third lot had the detachable mag. Some of these were not so good.

HKmp5sd, I would almost bet your gun has a four digit SN. Am I correct?

Mine is a five digit serial #, thankfully. I had one problem when I first bought it years ago from a guy I work with it came w/ a box of ammo. The ammo (some off brand) looked old but I test fired w/ it anyway. Bad move, a jam and snapped the firing pin. Pre-internet boom so I had real trouble finding a pin and had to have one crafted by a gunsmith $$$.

Probably not a wise investment given the price of these guns, but I think it's a great little package. Small but good capacity and simple. I have 2 Glock 19s and this looks like their little brother ;)
This was before the wide variety of Glocks were available.

Don't like the way it breaksdown, that pin is a pain!

Shoots fine the times I've tested it. It's just that you hear such an extreme of opinions on this gun it's hard to tell. The serial # thing might make sense, or maybe it's wishful thinking on my part?

Thanks
