I got interested in black powder when I turned 18....more than twenty years ago. But you know how it is, job, marriage, kids, college...they all got in the way but the thought remained. Finally, I got my first...a Pietta 1860 Army.
I'm going to pick up most of my accoutrements tomorrow and have a basic question. I have a pound of Swiss (low and behold you CAN get the stuff in CA!) and the guy said that it shoots about 15% harder than Goex. So what spout should I get? I was thinking of using the 24g that the flask comes with for the Swiss and then picking up a 30g for the Goex...or should I just use 30g for both?
Since I'm introducing myself, I might as well share a pic of the new revolver as well as my other hobby....straight razor shaving The razor is a George Wostenholm from the same time period as the '60 and was rescaled in buffalo horn. Shaved with it tonight as a matter of fact!
