My cast .358" bullets have two groves. One wide one close to the base and a narrow one closer to the tip. Are both channels grease groves? Or is the bottom one a grease grove and the top one a cannelure?
Good info by Mr. Fryxell `bout how the swc has changed & who designed em !
1 of my favorite is the 358446 & the 358429 & the 358156 barebottomed
& a couple of custom molds .
Lee has some excellent designs the 105 gr swc for cheap plinking a 140 with the same profile,The 158 rnfp (it is hard for me to get this 1 to shoot bad & the only 6 banger I own) the wide meplated swc Gas Checked
I never relized that the 429421 & the 358429 are the same length & Elmer Keith would`nt budge on the design as most 357 magnum revolvers cyl. were too short at the time ,but in the end he still surmised that 173grs. was a bit heavy for the 357 & it shows on longer shots.
