Graf Blackpowder?

I'm thinking of placing an order soon for powder, balls, and bullets. I think I'd better hurry......Shell Regular hit 3.50 here today!!!

Anyway.....I checked out Graf and when it came to BP they are all sold out of Goex, but they do have what I suppose is a "House Brand"....tada...Graf blackpowder......anyone try it?

Around here substitute goes for over $20 a bottle, so four or five pounds with hazmat, s&h and their "free shipping" I should save four or five dollars a pound and have the "real thing".
 
I've not tried it but it ought to be ok. It's made by Wano in Germany. Same people that make Schuetzen but it's not as good a grade.
 
HEY pard, how much do you pay for your real bp per lb?
i just found me a new soruce, i got me a few lbs at 12$
a lb, all i need now is to find a good soruce for round balls
i pay 11 bucks a 100:(.:)
 
I haven't found any around here, myself. There's a CAS club around here who uses a private gun club's range. There's also an indoor range....so there are shooters around here but it doesn't seem to be a Big deal....ergo.......you have to hunt for product......other than guns....I've been on the prowl for a GOOD gun shop in a 100 mile radius of central Illinois.

before? i bought mysellf a mold set in 454 round ball, but
thats as fer as i got, i need to get me some lead, but haveing
a prob getting it:(.
 
I get mine for free(so far)at tire shops. Stick on wheel weights are 98% pure lead. Plenty soft enough for bp. Clip on weights are harder but make good bullets for cartridges. I've been using them for years.
 
Hawg i will take your word on that,
i was told last week by a guy at the muzzle shoot,
he said do not get wheel weights? and you say otherwise.:confused:
 
Clip on weights are a no no for muzzle loading rifles. Might do ok for smoothies. Most people don't know there's a difference in clip on and stick on weights. I've used clip on weights in c&b revolvers but they're harder to load. Shoot ok tho.
