GP100 holster

I am hoping to locate a Bianchi Holster for Ruger GP100, which has a 4-inch barrel. It is their Model 10L, which is a Sportsman's holster with a safety strap and a leather tab that protects the rear sight. If you have one that is just taking up space, give me a shout.

I called Bianchi only to find myself frustrated by the rude employee. "Bianchi has never made this model, because I have been here for 3 years". Guess I shouldn't have read their catalogs 25 years back. What an idiot I am.

Sincerely,

Old World a good alternative

Docbones,
I am very pleased with my leather Old World holster for my GP-100. Take a look at those if you can't find the other one.

Are you still looking for the Bianchi #10L? I have a Right Hand model from my fathers collection. It says it is for a S&W .38 -.357 with 4" barrel.

I also have a #1L "Lawman" (Right Hand) and a #8L "Shadow" (also S&W .38-.357) but a Left Hand model.

You might check out De Santis holsters. The one that came with my GP is nicely made. Granted mine is for a 6" barrel, but the 4" version is bound to be just as nice.

Good Luck!

If anyone else still needs a Bianchi holster for the GP-100, they still make the No. 5 thumbsnap item.

Mine is black, with suede lining and good, if not exceptional, basketweave stamping. I wear it on a Bianchi River Belt, which I think is discontinued.

About that rude employee...I asked Galco about a used holster that I'd bought, marked, "Large Auto". It fits a CZ-75B, except that there's excess space under the thumbsnap strap and the top rear of the gun. I sent a photo. ONE man still there recognized that model, which was dropped some 15 years ago, although I don't think it should have been. It was meant mainly for the Beretta M92. It's amazing how little most employees at holster companies know about their companies' histories and older models, or what other firms offer.
