I like the GP 100 but want to know the going rate for new and used contition. This includes Pawn Shops, Gunshows, and new ordered etc. Also I understand the GP100 is a model that is practically invincable but what are things to look for in a used one. Once I return to my beloved state of Arizona I am gona get me one of these.

Hello:

I bought a GP-100 in .357 mag and love it!!! I looked on gunbroker.com, auctionarms.com and gunsamerica.com. I think gunsamerica.com had the best deals, but I bought mine used from a dealer for $329. Some stores will really rip you off for a new one, some places charging as high as $450 in some cases. If you're looking for new, you can find one for $389 if you look hard enough. There were tons of them on gunsamerica.com for that price brand new.

Mine is a 6" stainless steel barrel, and she's certainly a beauty. Email me at ecaff@att.net if you have any further questions.

Ipurchased my Ruger KGP-141 L.N.I.B, basically somebody bought it brand new but never shot it. I paid $269 for it, have seen them in the used case going for $239.

$386 from champion firearms in college station, who usually have some of the best prices around

Bought a KGP141 NIB for $350 local (Lower Alabama) about a year ago. Prices range up to about $400 with the dealers usually throwing in a box of ammo, silicone cloth, etc.

That $389 is pretty much the price in Waco at a distributorship. The 4" underlug is usually in stock along with the 6" full lug. It's a bit harder to find the 6" short lug ( which I like) because all of them cost the same and people seem to figure they are getting extra metal for their buck with the full lugged version.

wow, thanks for all of the input. Now I know what to expect. I am tending toward the buy new unless I find an extremely good deal. I am glad to hear that everyone seems to have found a reasonable price for their 100. Very encouraging. Enjoy the shooting.

Southern Ohio Gun (SOG) is selling used three-inch GP 100s, with holsters, for $249 in the latest Shotgun News.

too bad I didn't know you sooner I would have let you have my gp161 (blue steel heavy lug ) in .357 for $250 , the shop I deal with sells the new kgp161's for around $425 ,and used ones depending on how much wear are around $325-350 they seem to hold in the value .

FlyboyAZ ,

I just bought one of those 3" SS GP 100 from SOG. The gun definitely looked used but was in perfect mechanical condition, plus after using some metal polish, the gun looked good. Also, the leather holster is a nice piece and is in good condition. I have a feeling these guns are LEO trade ins.

I purchased my 6" stainless GP about 5 years ago for $275 at a local gunshow. It has functioned flawlessly. Best deal I've made in a long time!
