GP 100 mystery

An odd thing happened to me at the range yesterday with my GP100 .357. I was shooting some mid power reloads of mine(158g plated FWC from Berry's) when about half way thru a box of 50 I started finding rounds that wouldn't completely seat in the chamber. Some were tight but could be pushed in. I just kept shooting setting aside the "bad ones" to inspect when I got home. I figured it was just a problem with my reloads. I didn't do any trimming on that batch so the crimps weren't real consistant.
Anyway, when I got home and tried the rounds again they just fell into the cylinder. Measurements found no problems, all to specs. Could the cylinder be heating up enough to cause this? I've never seen this before, at least to this extent. Thinking back I have had rounds that were a little tight in the cylinder but never any that wouldn't fit. Once cooled down every round passed the plunk test. Heat is the only variable.
Has anybody out there had similar expierences?

Yes, and it only happens on reload ammo for me. So don't blame your gun, blame the crappy reloads. I'm assuming heat+residue makes a tight fit even tighter.

Yes , your reloads are near the chambers tolerences of slip fit .

Inconsistent lengths will affect the case (bulging just under the crimps shoulder) more on bullets with no crimp groove than 1 with.

I shoot much slower in the heat of summer , just for this reason so the cyl won`t resize my lead bullets.

Maybe I`m too anal `bout things ,but I clean primer pockets & trim everypeice of brass I load.
