Governor introduces bill in favor of Constitutional Carry in TN

I see that it would cover both concealed and open carry-of coarse like usual the tired old same adage applies-there will be blood in the streets-the cops won't know who the good or bad guys are-you know stuff like this.

Let's hope it passes. Constitutional carry for guns is the equivalent of upholding the 1st Amendment for free speech.

Same arguments made in NH when the license requirements for cc were lifted, which was a strictly enforced shall issue (to the point where delinquent police departments were ordered to pay court costs typically when a late or denied license was challenged). We always had permitless open carry though...

Some police departments even said it was dangerous. End result, nothing bad, but if the dems ever had an opportunity we would probably be right back to the previous or even a worse system.

The usual "blood in the streets" naysayers have voiced their opinions but, it appears that it will be in effect in June/July.

Over the last few months there have been numerous 2nd amendment sanctuary votes in more than half the counties, I think the adoption of those so-called "toothless" laws had a great deal to do with the Governor's decision.

Kentucky passed a similar bill and, as I understand it, it's set to be implemented about the same time.

My thinking is that what happened in VA had some unintended consequences for the anti's that caused a ripple effect.
