but the only republican I've heard running for the race is grandstanding on a homophobe platform, hoping that bans on gay marriage will walk him into the governor's seat.
I agree with that plank, but it is pretty weak when it is your primary selling point.
I'll vote for the first republican candidate that promises to put 2500 or more national guard troops on the arizona/mexico border. That's the biggest threat our state faces, not garbage like a shortage of all-day kindergarten or a CPS scandal.
Put money into defense, not into feel-good welfare state BS.
