Gouge in Glock Internal Frame

Just got back from the range and was cleaning my Gen 4 17 and noticed a gouge in the plastic between the rear frame rails. Still waiting to hear from Glock if this is normal wear and tear, anyone ever experience this? I looked at a bunch of photos online and didnt notice any wear to this area let alone a deep gouge.

I have looked at mine. The rectangular cut is in mine but the little divot you are talking about is not on mine. I would not worry about it at all.

Yeah the more I look at it the less I am worrying about it, I'm guessing it was a high spot in the plastic that ended up making a deeper gouge once the slide contacted it, which makes sense because there was a little flap of plastic barely hanging on before I scraped it off with my fingernail.

I put a dab of grease on the spot and cycled the gun a few times to see if the grease was transferring over to any spots on the slide which it wasn't which leads me to believe it won't get any worse.

If it does get worse which I don't anticipate ill let Glock take care of it.

Things made of plastic are designed to be disposable.
Don't sweat it.
Shoot it until it falls apart.
Well, preferably until one round before it falls apart. :)
