Got the boss

So, I'm sitting in dispatch after clearing up some minor issues when the Sheriff, my boss, walks in and hands the dispatcher a piece of paper. As he does so, he tells her,"here, run this gun for me", meaning the make, caliber and serial number on the paper. Debbie holds the paper in both hands, looks at for a second and states,"this ain't a gun, it's a piece of paper." Before the Sheriff speaks, I immediately pipe in...

"He's a liberal Debbie, Democrats think everything is a gun!"

Sheriff reaches for his Taser and I bail out of the office, lol. And before our forum Democrats feel offended, I know that not all liberals are gun grabbers, the Sheriff being a Second Amendment supporter as well as a Democrat. But I thought, in light of what's going on in politics, a few of you might find this humorous. YMMV, lol.....:p:D:D:D:D

Sometimes I feel like I am both extremes' conundrum, or worst nightmare, a democrat with guns [and reloading gear].

BTW: Coming up on 36 years in service and I've also had a couple of occasions to head for the door when my mouth misfired and the boss [chief/sheriff] was in range. ;)

Got to pay attention to the person when voting! Some of the repubs are just as bad as the dems, and both would sell any of us down the river to stay in office.

Neither party is what it used to be, Vote for those who protect our freedoms and not their parties interest.

OldDav is right: but make sure the candidates are vocal in supporting the 2nd amendment and not doing doubletalk. Generally the NRA was list the good guys.

I started in life as a democrat. In fact at one time, I was on the state board of directors of "Young Democrats of Pennsylvania". I matured and became a republican. I grew a brain and realized it is idiocy to vote or support single part politics: You support the person and hold them accountable for what they promise.

I haven't noticed a difference in the end results between the two main parties at the national level. It does seem to make a difference at the state level.
