got my new Trooper (Colt) today. Need help dating it.

OK, I picked up my new (to me) Trooper MK III today. If anyone can help me put a date on it I'd appreciate it. It's in great shape so I'd guess it's pretty late in production. Looking at earlier posts on this subject, it looks like I should not give the complete serial number on here, so I hope this format is right...

I didn't realize it at the time, but the $299 I paid also included a set of speed loaders and a speedloader holster. So, I feel pretty good about the price.

I appreciate any help dating it.

Got it!

OK, I got it from Colt. It appears to have been made ~ 1972. I'm surprised, I thought it was probably a early 80s model. It's in great condition for the age for sure.
