Got my new carry gun

I started a thread a while back, debating between a CZ PCR or a SIG P229 for my new carry gun.After shopping around for a long time I couldnt locate a PCR. So I went with the SIG.I have to say I think it was a good choice. Seems like a very nice pistol. It came with night sights, which seem like a good idea on a carry gun. I also already have a P226 so im familiar with the platform. Once I get a few hundred rounds through it, it will be transitioned to my main carry gun. I prefer to carry IWB. Im looking to get some recommendations on a good IWB holster. Something you guys have first hand experience with. Also some defensive ammo suggestions. Id love to see some pics of ypur P229 carry rigs
 
Congrats! Crossbreed Supertuck or its clone, Galco KingTuk. And any big brand, heavy-for-caliber JHP ammo should be fine.
 
nice. How would compare the p226 to the p229 since you own both.

I have a p226 and debated adding a p229 to my collection, but currently have no intention to carry either, so figured if I am going to have a range gun, no real advantage of the p229 over the p226, what do you think?

I am sure it will make its way into my collection one day.
 
I like the N82 holster. Super comfortable and has great retention, but draws easy. They have different models to choice from. I like their original model that several of my guns will fit in.

Lots of pretty good defensive rounds out today. Corbon DPX, Federal HST, Hornady Critical Duty/Defense, Sig Sauer V-Crown are ones that I like.
 
Congratulations!! I absolutely love the P229 and have enjoyed a number of defensive pistol courses where the P229 was the gun I used. It's rock solid, for certain. Enjoy!
 
The compact size of the 229 make this gun very easy to manipulate. I like it alot... I do love my 226 alot, but I think the 229 is my perfect match...
 
I think you made the right choice. When I IWB a larger auto, I like to use my Bravo Concealment Patriot Holster (now called the BAC or BCA). It's a kydex holster that can be worn IWB or OWB with a simple loop/clip change.
 
Congrats on the 229.

Alien Gear will give you a much cheaper option to the Crossbreed that is just as good. I have one for my 229.

If you aren't looking for the larger hybrid style holster like that, the Comp-Tac Infidel.
