I was visiting family localy, and they had a cousin not related to me that moved in.
On a whim he brings up that he would love to find a nice shotgun to trade his pistol for. So slightly interested I asked what he had.
Turns out to be a pistol i have read a lot about and was very interested in; the Sig Sauer SP2022 in 40 S&W. So I let him know I had an Remington 870 Wingmaster magnum with 2 different stocks, fiber optic front sight, and the extended tube for extra roumds as well as the original.

After a few days he called and said he was in, and we set the meet up for late Saturday night.
He was pleased and I was also. I have 2 other shotguns so I'm not without, one long barrel for hunting, and another short barrel set up for HD.
I was able to wipe the Sig down real quick and run 50 test function rounds through her before dark. The previous owner said he only ran 100 to 200 rounds in it and I believe him.

It ran awesome and I was amazed at the low recoil impulse from a lighter polymer pistol. The fit and finish are nice, I'm sure not quite the standard Sig 226 level, but very nice for the value! It functioned flawless with hollow points and those flat point mc 40. S&W rounds.

I had heard that the trigger on this gun was very good, especially for a DA/SA format gun. My take on it is the trigger was great, had a little take up but smooth and crisp.
The only da/sa gun I own with a better trigger is an old Tanfoglio Tz75 series 88 that was built before EAA was around.

This was one of the SigPros that only came with a single mag, but it did have the stock Sig night sights on front and back. They glowed very bright, I'm not sure how old the pistol is?

All in all I am extremely pleased with my first ever Sig Sauer, and could deffinitally see more in my future.

Yep, they are working guns.

Not quite as slick and smooth as the other Sig models, but good, solid and reliable.

Trigger is well done and stacks up with the best polymer guns (HK in my opinion) and a very close second to the old Sig aka Brownind BDA.
