Got my AMD muzzle brake for the SAR1

Well boys and girls, Riddle of Steel is still hanging stuff on his SAR 1 AK and having loads of fun. So far it is shooting better than any post ban AK I have ever shot or owned. So well that I will need to restock the ammo dump soon.
The addition of an Uncle Mikes "Tactical Sling" has made a difference in comfort when carrying both around the farm and on weekend games with the guys. Many possibilities of different carry posistions with it. As you can see I turned the foreward grip around back to the "RIGHT/CORRECT" way and it is more comfortable and 30 round mags load easier that way. Anybody that don't like it can eat lead. The original equipment AMD-65 muzzle brake has made muzzle climb and recoil much better but it is LOUD. I have been banished to the far end of the shooting line at our range behind the berm reserved for .50's and machine guns.
Still on the lookout for a set of rubber YUGO type grips like on the AMD-65 folders I have seen on the web. But I have pretty much given up on a naked gas tube. I like my metal shielded one after it has had a chance to grow on me.
Next inovation will probably be a skeletonized stock of some kind (probably an ACE) and an overall finish job. Only debate now is if I will attempt to do it myself or farm out the job. It will certainly come after the stock installation so all the metal will pretty much match. Later....

You turned the foregrip to the CORRECT way. Thank you very much. The forward cant gives you the proper clearance for the 30 rounders to detatch, is easier to hold to the shoulder as this is the more natural position, and makes recoil control more positive.

GREAT JOB!!!
