I got to meet Steven Tyler and Joe Perry from Aerosmith. They were wondering around the grounds and looking at things. I got to watch Steven Tyler purchase a class III HK

I have never seen that show so crowded and BIG
 
Sounds like you picked up a Turkish Military overrun pistol. Great buy, I picked mine up for $299. Unbelievable accuracy and functioning. So far I have run FMJ, Remington 115gr+p HP"S, Speer 124gr+p Gold Dots and Winchester White Box Personal Defense ammo thru it without one problem. You may want to change the grips from the ergonomic ones that came with it to the CZ standard or some other grip.
 
Great gun! I got mine with two mags for $399 and I still think that it is a bargain! I can't think of a better gun for the money and it's better than a lot that cost a lot more. I don't mind the grips at all myself and I kind of like that I kept it they way it was intended for the military if you know what I mean. Enjoy!

Thor, as guns manufactured after 10/21/98 can't be sold in MA unless they meet MA specs (so far that's only SIG, S&W, and Walther) we are paying more in the current climate. Buying them online and shipping them in through an FFL winds up costing pretty close to that, and doesn't include the trigger lock.

I assume you got it at 4 Seasons? I bought a SIG there.

I was at that Crossroads show, and I saw what I thought was Joe Perry, but wasn't sure. I told my buddies, and they didn't believe me, saying, "No way, dude."

I should have asked him if he could round up Steven Tyler and the NUGE to do some desert blasting! BTW, I wonder what Perry was packing?:cool:
 
Do any of you guys up there in Phoenix have a schedule of gun shows for 2002? I have the schedule down here for Tucson but am thinking of heading up there for a few after the new year.
 
Great price on the CZ. You done good, son. Welcome to TFL!! And enjoy shooting the hell out of that 75!! I got one a little over a month ago; got about 450 rds. through and not one hiccup on any type of ammo. I put on some Hogue checkered wood grips and she looks real purty now!

Yes, 4 Seasons. Great folks there I think! The CZs came in while I was there right after I'd decided to buy one-I just HAD to respond to a sign like that! ;)

Thor, there is a place called CZforum.com, but in my experience it's mostly populated by people trying to sell something. Most CZ questions get answered faster here.

If you don't get Winchester White Box (100 rounds for $10.96) at WalMart, I've found the MagTech (made in Brazil, $6.95) to shoot well. Always check their on-line ammo ads because sometimes the price is higher in the store, but if you ask they give you the on-line price. I didn't like the PMC 9mm, it produces too much muzzle flash if the range is a little dark, although there is less recoil.

Also, put 100-200 rounds through it before you worry about trying to sight in. Mine hit left, then high on the first few mags before settling in. I have an 85 Combat.

What do you think of the Blazers? I also have Hydroshocks but I confess that I am too new at this to judge well. I understand that the 85 is even better but I just got laid off today so it'll have to wait!

I generally don't shoot anything but FMJ on ranges, as it costs less and feeds reliably. I don't worry about "defense" ammo at all but if a JHP goes through fewer walls, I guess that would be better. Never shot with Blazers. When you are putting everything in the black at 25 yards, start worrying about what loads to carry. That's why I suggested the White Box.

Congradulations on a killer gun. (sorry!) CZ's are hands down
the best value available in handguns today. They are accurate
and dependable. I shoot Win. white box/blazers/s&b at ranges.
I depends on what I find at reasonable $. FMJ is range ammo.


Cz.Forum is a great place for any CZ owner/enthusiast. I have read on TFL that gun specific forums are biased to sell more guns...only posting good things. NOT TRUE! I bitch and moan
about stuff that deserves it. I just dont have anything to complain about...and as far as the "everyone is trying to sell something" comment. I wont EVEN waste my time...CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! Its for anyone who is interested in CZ arms.
Mainly Handguns..they welcome anyones comments/questions/suggestions GOOD or BAD!

I also think TFL is the best all around forum on the net!

Congrads on the new CZ. I`m tickled with my 75B Mil.,I added Hogue checkered cocobolo grips (which I love) and it`s been super accurate and reliable for several thousand rounds. Mine loves 124gr.+P GoldDots. :)
VVG, the CZ75B Military contract was filled in `96 (mine was purchased new a year or so ago and is dated `96) so the Mass. law may not apply. Marcus
 
hey thor and vvg I'm thinking about picking up one of those cz's at 4 seasons. I just bought a new 40 sig 239 there and the cz looks like an ok deal. Are you guys pretty happy with your cz75b mil? Any ftf's? Thanks I live in Mansfield Ma.

I am delighted with mine and put more multiple rounds through it just yesterday (one jam). I believe the 75BMil to be an exceptional value. I would RUN to buy one at FS as CZ has not as yet, (if they ever do) made "Mass compliant" guns so once these '96 guns are sold that may be it! I'd never shot the gun before but I had heard it described in a concealed carry book as "an engineering masterpiece" and the author's favorite 9 and I am also a sucker for "once these guns are sold that may be it!" :8) All the guys at FS are great by the way!

Thanks for the tip on the CZ Forum Erik but I am already there as "Black Douglas!" That moniker is actually the model name of my custom made, recurve bow from Scotland and as for "Thor", well, I was thinking "hammer", "thunder", y'know, gun related stuff! It seemed like I had to choose a name so quickly and I don't want to change them now as I would lose my post count!
