Got me new rifle today.
Got a Savage Axis in .223 , now I just have to pick out a scope for it.
I plan on using it on coyotes and misc other targets.
Any suggestions on a scope that won't bust a budget.
Figure I might be shooting up to 200yds. I live in AZ and have lots of open space.

You didn't mention what your budget for a scope is, but $200 will get you a nice Weaver. $300 will get you a nice Burris Fullfield II. $400ish will get you a nice Nikon Monarch. $500ish will get you a nice Leupold VXII. And there are plenty more options that others will soon mention.

I have a Tasco 6-24 Varmint, mil dot that was $89.00 at Midway.

My son and I have shot 330Y with it and very accurate. Trying 400 on Friday.

Good price for a scope that has done what I need for now.

I have a nikon prostaff 3-4x40.

I like my axis 223, I can hit a pop can at 275 yards, and that's factory ammo with me shooting it! They are a very good rifle for the money. Coyotes at 200 should be no problem.

Vortex Diamondback 4x12x40 AO, Midway, $289.00, and worth it! I just picked up a used Leupold VXIII 3.5x10, with target turrets for $260.00. And it's pretty nice... If you look for a used one just be careful.;)
