Got a Ruger P-95

Hey everyone!

I went down a few weeks ago to the local gunshop and bought a Ruger P-95DC. After almost a year-and-a-hald of agonizing, I finally bought one. I took it, on Independence Day, to the range for the first time and I must say that I'm rather impressed by this pistol. It ate everything I fed it. Accurracy is pretty good, 3.5" give or take at 25 yds.

I didn't buy this piece for bullseye competition but for self defense, and to me, reliability is tantamount. And because I will be carrynig, I need to get a good holster for this as soon as possible. Any suggestions?

BTW, I was so impressed by the P-95DC that I plan on getting another Ruger, specifically the P-90, as soon as possible. Can anyone give me a testimony? Thanks!

I carry my P-97 in a Kytac Braveheart IWB. It`s an awesome rig, comfy and conceals my .45 easily under a T shirt. www.kytac.com If you`d like a companion piece for your P-95 check out the P-97. You might say it`s a refined version of the P-90 and would match the P-95 nicely. :) Marcus

Congrats on the new Ruger, I hope it serves you well ;) So far a Ruger semi is the only gun I don't have in my collection, To many guns and not enough money :( You may want to check out Fist holsters at www.fistholsters.com They have a good veriety and you can order online or call them toll free. I have two holsters from them and was really pleased with what I got and what I paid :) give them a look see may be worth your while.
Happy Shooting :)

Having owned both I would say you will find the P90 just as reliable and more accurate. 2in groups at 25yd are not unusual and a 3in group for a P90 is poor.

Good for you!! :) I have had a P95 for 3 years now. It is the only gun that I have that I can put all 15 rounds into a ragged quarter sized hole at 15 yards with. Yes, it eats everything, including Russian, without a burp. The trigger is the best of all the pistols that I own, with the only possible exception being the new 3.5lb trigger that I had installed on my G26. You made a fine choice!! :) :) :)
