Got a new stock for my 10/22

Old - Tapco Fusion stock with Simmons 3-9x40 scope.

New - Archangel AR556 stock. Topped it with the tactical carry handle/rear sight from my Rock River AR and a Truglo red/green dot sight.

Next I think I want to build a "target" 10/22 for me/the wife...

What all do you have in the way of 22lr rifles?

I never liked the Archangel stocks for the 10/22. I have two 10/22s in the Tapco Fusion stock with a Tru-Glo reflex sight on each. I also have one that's completely stock - factory walnut stock, factory sights etc. Then I have a 10/22 that has an old stock from the 80's... and its my favorite of my 10/22's and as such gets shot the most.

Can I ask why you opted to put the red dot sight on a riser mount? I mean now you've increased the distance that the sight is off the bore axis. Normally in rifles and optics this is NOT desirable.

This stock is set up like an AR15. The "riser" has an AR15 rear sight built into it. I may end up putting a stand alone rear sight on it and attaching the red dot to the rail on the stock, haven't decided yet. With it up higher, it gives better cheek weld without discomfort due to the straight line stock.
