Well new to me, I bet you can't guess what it is!
I know that's not much of a hint but I'm pretty excited about the deal I got on the rifle. It came with the case, 148 rounds of ammunition, Nikon scope, CMMG SV muzzle brake and bi-pod. I'm not sure if I'm going to hang onto this one yet or not, but it's a cartridge I've been wanting to play with in something other than the single shot I have it in.
Can't guess? Here is a little hint!
First 3 shot group out of it was about 1/2 MOA but 6" to the left of center. I adjusted the scope and had it right on target and went to ringing steel. The reticle in the scope really isn't great for precise aiming as it pretty much covers up a 1" bullseye at 100 yards. But I had no problems ringing 4"X4" and smaller AR500 plates at 100 yards 120 grain ammo. The 220 grain subsonics were 16" low from the 120's but still center line of the target.
Here I'll give it to you.
Anyway I'm really pleased with it, but the brake will come off. I'm not fond of brakes, but I'll admit the rifle is pretty quiet even with the brake. With the 220's it wasn't much louder than what high veloicity .22 LR sounds like with hearing protection. I've been wanting a suppressor for my hunting rifles, this one will probably tip me over and make me finally get one.
