Got a new one

After all the talk of getting another HK or a Sig or even a Glock I wound up getting a Browning Hi-power. Don't know what it is about that gun, I just like it. Feels good in the hands. Shoots well, very reliable. Guess I will have to get the Glock or HK next time. It is a good looking gun don't you guys think?

What are some good modifications to do to it?

My digital camera is not working so I can't post a pic but it looks like the stock hi-power on the Browning website. That is why I want to know some mods I can make to make it look better.

The first things to do with any new BHP:

1) Get the magazine safety out of it.

2) Get a trigger job.

To answer your question, it is possibly the most beautifully shaped gun ever and well balanced. Mine is the matte-silver gun with gold trigger and Pachmahr grips (they don't even offer it any more). It's too bad it doesn't shoot straight and I'm sick of working on it.

The Browning HP is one of the best lookin' handguns out there. More imporatantly its the way it feels in your hand compared to modern blocky pistols like my beloved Glock.

When I had my Browning 10 years ago it was reliable and it had no mods. Some nice grips, night sights if you desire, and ramp/throat job if it needs it. Or you can go all out and have Cylinder and Slide or Heinie trick it out for you. Check out shamster's in the link below. shamster's grip is the same kind favored by SAS operators on their HP's before they switched to the Sig P226.
