Got a look at IMI 9mm specs....

Specifically, the fabled black-tip 115gr subgun stuff. I wasn't impressed.....they clock it at 1180fps out of a 4" barrel. Geeezze, the white-box Winchester 115gr clocks 1190fps out of a 4" barrel. The 124gr IMI ball clocked 1100fps. All numbers from manufacturers.

I was REALLY expecting more.....like around 1300fps from the black-tip. Oh, well, yet another myth busted.

Oh, also, BOTACH is IMI's new US distributor. Aside from Botach's track record, prices couldn't be beat. 1K 45acp 230Ball was $149, and M855 was $249 per 1200rnds. The 124gr 9mm ball was $129 per 1K. Worth rolling the dice again, I think....

Those prices don't include 11% Federal Excise Tax or shipping.

Shipping on the .45acp is 50 pounds and shipping on the 9mm is 30 pounds.

I don't know, but maybe the black-tip stuff is optimized for longer barrels?

I wonder if it might have a slower burning powder? Full sized Uzi SMGs had 10 inch barrels.
