Got a Glock 27

I just got a Glock 27 last weekend. I swore I'd never own a Glock, but I am now almost sold on these pistols. After some range time this weekend, I'll decide for sure. This is an awesome little gun. I am looking forward to carrying this one every day.

I also ordered a Galco Deep Cover, and may buy a Sidearmor. I would like a few opinions on the advantages of the Sidearmor over a the Galco. I went to Sidearmor's website and I wasn't too impressed by the pics.

I'm happy for now...:D

I love my G-27 and i bet you will as well. Try an Uncle Mikes kydex. They are about 15.00 - 20.00 and mine fits great.

Congratulations

Congratulations on your G27. The subcompact Glocks are among the best defense tools. SideArmor IWB holsters are form fitted, very well made, have a unique system of chaning from clips to belt loops, and offer a secure ride. They're tough to beat. They're not for everybody, so make sure you read a lot of reviews before getting one. You can read some good reviews here www.sportshooter.com/gear/holsters.htm

I bought a Glock 27 a few weeks ago also. I don't know how it shoots yet because the state police told me that it is illegal for me to drive to the range with it unless I have a permit. My permit is almost a month late getting here by their own state law.

I got my G 27 about four years ago, and the first few trips to the range convinced me that I had made a mistake. I eventually got used to it, and now I love it.

I just couldn't get it to put holes in the paper, where I thought they should be - - not really all that bad, just not as good as I had wanted. My little Rossi .38 snubbie could do it, and it cost about half as much as the Glock. So....I continued to carry the Rossi, and practice with the G 27.

Now I reserve the little revolver for those occasions where the "blockier" Glock would be a little more difficult to conceal, but the Glock has become my favorite. It just took a little time to get used to it, and then everything just seemed to start working.

Congrats on the 27!

I have owned one for a couple years and they are tough to beat. That is some serious power in a little package. Its funny because I shoot the 27 just as good as my 23, I did since day one.

I have been carrying it in a Sidearmor for well over a year now. Sidearmor is the first IWB that i could use for long periods of time.

The advantages are that they are tough, they dont colapse when the gun is removed. The fit to the gun is impossible to get with leather. They use CNC machineing to form the kydex, there is no other more accurate way to do it. You can adjust the tention screws on a Sidearmor to your likeing, thats a big plus as far as I am concerned. And like mentioned above you can get clips or belt loops for them.

Sidearmor is a moderator at GlockTalk, go over and ask her if you can give one a try out. I think that she has one that she lends out for people to try out. She is a peasure to deal with, its tough to find better customer service thats for sure.

Good luck,
Jason

I've had a Glock 27 for over three years.

In all that time, not one single malfunction. The first time I fired it, the bullet went into the "X-ring". I about dropped my teeth! It is extremely accurate. It always makes me look good at the range. The only thing "extra" I've bought for it is Trijicon night sights.

The 27

Congrats on the new purchase, Your gonna love it;) I know mine (27) made a believer out of me :)
Happy Shooting and I hope it serves you well:)

PreservetheFreedom,

I have to question what the Indiana State Police told you. How are you suppose to go hunting then it you can't take it there? Plus I was under the impression that to get a CCW license you went into the Sheriff's dept and wha la...CCW.

Fill me in some more.........

Low and left :(

Hi TurkeySlayer,

I could have posted these very same questions last Monday. After years of avoiding Glocks, I finally got a G27 for my ccw. My first trip to the range went great, and last night the first three "cold" shots were right on the money at 30 ft., but then I started hitting low and to the left. I've heard this is due to jerking the trigger, but I was unable to rectify it. Hopefully with practice it will get better.

I'm also considering Sidearmor, so I'll be watching this thread for more opinions.

It must be in the air! I just got back from my favorite shop and guess what I wound up buying? G 27! I actually went to look at a sig 232 and 239 but after eyeing the little glock and seeing the 9 + 1 capacity of 40 cal. compared to 7 or 8 of 380 , I decided on the glock. I have only had experience with one glock in the past and it was a 19 9mm . The trigger on the 27 felt much better than I remember the 19 feeling. Not near as much travel and not as heavy either. Now I will have to check on one of the holsters mentioned above and I will be set.:p

G27

I've carried a G27 on and off for 3 years. I trade off with my G30 depending on my mood and what I'm wearing. I have a Sidearmor IWB holster for both pistols and could not be more happy with the service the holsters provide. As mentioned above, the holster will not collapse when the pistol in removed and can be worn comfortably all day. One thing I did add to all my Glocks is an AGRIP. When wearing a "t" shirt with the pistol next to my skin, the AGRIP provides a little more comfort.
Try the Sidearmor, I think you'll like it.

Well, I shot it this morning, and was impressed. First group ever was pretty good for me. Kept all shots in about a six inch circle at 15 yards. (that's not bad for me :D)

I shot over 100 rounds with no malfunctions of any kind.

I'm one of Gaston's boys now...
