I just got this remington 1903 A3 today. someone I know passed away and I ended up with this 1903. She is pretty nice. Nice wood. good bore, finish on metal is worn but no pitts. I cant wait to take her to the range and honor her with a few rounds down range. Im proud to own her.

Nice, probably one of the best bolt action military rifles made. Hope yours shoots as good as mine. Can't ask any better from a old war horse.

Good looking piece. I wish mine was in as good of a shape as that one is. Just run new ammo through it, don't shoot military surplus, wolf, or Remington ammunition through it. I only shoot Hornady ammo through mine.

Just run new ammo through it, don't shoot military surplus...
Curious as to why you'd say no military surplus (ammo) in a military surplus rifle when the CMP is still selling off a bunch of old Greek M2 ball? (I know, save that for the Garands... but still and all it works fine in 03s...)

Very nice.
Pity some nitwit flattened and checkered the bolt knob.
If you want it completely correct, 1903A3 bolts can be found and one poster says they usually go in with decent headspace.

What a beauty. It has the "been carried" look about it. I especially like this look on a gun. SOOO many never get used and look like it. Makes we want to sit by a campfire while holding this rifle and wonder where it has been and who's hands had carried it.
