Gore wants $50 income tax per firearm!

Have you guys heard about this??? I went to pick up my new carry pistole today, and the dealer was talking about this. I guess it was just announced by Gore's staff.

Supposedly, he wants to impose a $50 income tax PER firearm on every gun owner in the US.

Gee, I wonder how much of that would go to his campaign funds!

This has been discussed to DEATH. There was a radical bill that would bring handguns under the BATF regs, the same as class III firearms, which would impose a $50 transfer tax, and require registration.

This bill is dead in committee. Will never see the light of day, according to the reps.

The "other" thing was a supposed bill to "register" each gun on your annual 1040 form. This is (I believe, from what I read here), an urban legend.
