Yeah, it's a sign of what's right at the heart of NRA. I guess Heston's through with seeking more "respectability" now, and gloves are off. (see ads on NRALive, too). It's overdue, but I'm pleased.
The quick reaction from Gore, Clinton, and their spokespeople show they worry they got hit pretty good by LaPierre on Sunday. Good! It's about time! (It's funny that Lockhart, White House spokesman, said NRA had "removed itself from the debate". That's hilarious. Is that why Clinton was _debating_ them the day before?)
The problem for them? The more NRA gets in the papers, the more it gets to say. A lot of people thinking, huh, yeah, right, why AREN'T these laws being enforced? Yeah, I guess Clinton is kind of scummy, etc...
Public acrimony between our felon-in-chief and NRA can only help. Clinton does better with a full-court supression of NRA views in the media. Hard to do when they make headlines, though.
