GORE ... FRIEND CALLS CLINTON 'BIG BURDEN, DEEPLY FLAWED, LOATHSOME CHARACTER'

I think that in their "heart of hearts", a lot of Democrats feel this way. Except, of course, the Hollywood people. It's just shocking how they defend and support Clinton.

Paco, Welcome,

I think we'll see more and more demos "finding Jesus" and seeing that Clinton was loathsome as we get closer to the election. Maybe even Gore himself.

WLM, the reason that the Hollywoodites love and defend Klinton is simple. Because they see each other through two way mirrors.

He is a liar; in Hollywood, lying is standard. He is a backstabber; they are backstabbers. He is without morals and principles; so are they. He is a philandering, cheating whoremonger; so are they. He is deceitful and venal; so are they. He craves money and power; so do they. He has a supreme ego and craves constant approval and adulation; so do they. He is totally untrustworthy; so are they. He is a Marxist Socialist; so are they.

Klinton and the Hollywoodites were perfectly made for each other.

See how simple it is?? J.B.

I think this is a classic example of a "leak".
It will help to distance Gore from Clinton while still looking "buddy/buddy" on the surface. The Dems know that Clinton has hurt them. And it may just cost them the election this year. But if they can pull the public's impression of Gore away from Clinton's. It might work.
Meanwhile look to see more and more Repubs talking about the comminalities of Gore to Clinton.

Jay, I am a Southern California native, and, except for 4 yrs. of undergrad work in San Jose and two years in the Army, all of my 54 years have been right here in L.A. I even worked for awhile at NBC in Burbank back in the early seventies. Your characterization of Hollywood is RIGHT ON THE MONEY!

And just as that Devil of Detritus, Cueball Carville, characterized Washington as "Hollywood for ugly people," you can bet your sweet bippy that BJ Billy will be spending alot of time out here after he exits the White House. Seriously, folks, Dubya will have to fumigate the place, maybe have it tented for 3 days before moving in.

I think Gore got a big surprise this week when Clinton kept the spotlight at the convention instead of giving Gore his moment. Then money raising all week for the Clinton library instead of for Gore. That is really a shame since Gore has supported Clinton for so long.

jay baker, you forgot.......they have mutual respect for their chosen profession of acting....lol..

I hope the democrats are unable to distance themselves from that s b.....not only do ihope he drags the party apart, I hope the current crop that are in office loose big........then we just have to straighten out the republicans,.....eternal vigilance...is our duty....fubsy.

J.B., You expressed my feelings very well. I get to angry and frustrated even thinking about this man(?) and the damage he has done to our country.

This is somethig we all could have told everyone some time ago.
Why wait so damn long to tell the world that this clown(Clinton) has problems that have effected everyone, and everything around him?
Typical election year "tell 'em what they need to hear' crap.

Day after the erection(I spelled it right!), it's business as usual.
To hell with any indication of promise made to the masses, who BTW, pay the taxes that cover the promises made to the peons of society. You have the big contributors to protect now, so let's get to it.

Reminds me of the movie, "Titanic", where the scene of the deck that was flooding, and rats are scurrying about to escape the cold death that is coming for them.

That's all the above noose release is, a declaration to distance oneself from a soon to be deceased carrier.
