I would like nothing better than for Gore to be running out of cash. But I also do not believe it for on second.

Here are my arguments.

After the first debate all of the national polls turned against Gore and started either showing Bush ahead or catching up. As of this week they all show Bush ahead. For that reason I think that this is a political move by the Gore camp for four reasons.

First, they are trying to play the victim. 'Those rich republicans are outspending us'. Liberals love to potray everyone, especially themselves, as some sort of victim. They then elevate the victims of society to sainthood in order to grow and consolidate their own political power.

Second, I feel that the Democrats are once again playing the most powerful card the hold. Class warfare. They are implying that the republicans are made up of the wealthiest of Americans and therefore can outspend the peoples party.

Third, they are also attempting to tell people that the only reason that Bush is doing well in the polls is because he is spending more money i.e. he is buying their votes. In essence they are attempting to tell people that they are stupid for letting their votes be bought by rich republicans.

Finally, Gore knows that the republican base is more energized to get out and vote than at any time since Reagan. I beleive that Gore is trying to cause some of the republican base to become complacent. If people believe that Gore is out of money and doesn't stand a chance then why go vote. It is also interesting that with in last debate he was really playing to his base. If he can energize his base, that is currently isn't, and cause the republican base to not show up he might have a chance.

Do I know the above is true. No I don't. But I do know that Gore is a Liar. And I was taught at a young age to never believe anyone that is a liar. Therefore I do not believe one word of what Gore is saying.

I may not have the correct reasins but you can bet that the reason this information came out isn't because the Gore campaign is going broke. It is for another motive that we currently don't know.

Rope-a-dope. The cult of the donkey is having no problems getting their word out.

Al might be lower on hard money, but he is still doing very well with soft money and 3rd party advocacy ads.

Gore CAN'T run out of campaign money, so long as the major TV networks and newspapers are still in business; They'll just run a lot of campaign ads on his behalf, and call them "news". And that doesn't even count the unions.

No, actually this year the TV networks won't even have to pretend they're being objective, they've been officially cleard by the FCC to be as biased as they wish. They can come right out and endorse Gore, no beating around the Bush.

It's been years since the majority of campaign money for a Democrat Presidential candidate actually passed through his own accounts, and showed up in reports. "In kind" contributions by the media are the name of the game.
