Goodbye for awhile and thanks....

Don Gwinn

Staff Emeritus
Well, I'm going to graduate from Monmouth College at noon today. When I go home, I won't have internet access, at least for awhile, so I won't be able to post at TFL anymore, though I'll still be able to read when I can get to the library. I don't know how long this will be. I don't have a job yet, so I'm not sure where we'll end up living. There's a lot I don't know. :)

If you need to reach me, I still have a hotmail account: [mailto:don_gwinn@hotmail.com]don_gwinn@hotmail.com

I'm going to miss this place and all of you. I may only be gone a couple of months, or a week, or it might be a year or two before I can post here again. But hey, a life lived in certainty is boring, right?
I'll still be posting on Miss D's board every once in awhile, when I can get to the library or someplace. And it's going to be fun; I'm going to graduate, then get married, and sometime in the meantime find a job and a new place to live, all in one summer. And I expect to see you all at the TFL end of summer meet.

Anyway, thanks for all your help and humor and advice. Thanks for listening to me. Thanks.

Look for info on the All-TFL get-together in Lock and Load! Shiner Bock, barbecue, and full-auto in Missouri!

Don,

First off CONGRATULATIONS! (both on Graduating and getting Married (I think).

Secondly, why can't you post from the library? If you can post on Miss D's board, why not here?

Graduation, Marrage, Job, Place to live all in one summer... guess it's a good thing pregnancies take 9 months huh?

If you don't get to post "Fair Winds and Following Seas" (= good luck in Jarhead terms). Hurry Back!

Congratulations on graduating and on your prospective marriage.

I'd hate to say it, but college is much more fun than work. But, upwards, forwards, onwards!

Don,

What THEY said...

May the wind be at your back. I envy you. I remember just starting out, my whole life ahead of me. What an adventure! Long life and happiness to you and yours.

Congratulations, and good luck!

Congrats, good luck, and now that you am a college graduater you can start making those big $$$ and buy a smokin' machine (or sneak on at work, like the rest of us TFL junkies!).

Well, it's 6:00 and the last seniors are supposed to be checked out and gone, but of course they aren't so I'm here too. :) I'm not a TFL junkie or anything, but all that's left in my room is a bowl with my frog in it and the computer.....

Anyway, the I don't think I'll be able to post because I'll lose my email account at Monmouth. Unless the system doesn't check every so often, I figure I'll get booted eventually. I have a hotmail account but that's all. If I become employed, I'll probably just start springing for web access from home once we're married and have a home of some sort.

The good news is, my parents announced that they want to give us a new computer for graduation (and they'll keep this old one of mine.) They're creeping into the computer age. :)

Thanks for all the kind words. Just didn't want to drop off the face of the earth without telling anyone where I'm going.

Oh, darn it! Am I too late?
Well, if you're still around, have a great graduation, honeymoon, etc. See you around soon, I hope! :) :) :)

(ps...don't rush into the kid thing, trust me on this! :D :D :D)
