So me and my family went to a place called the pit yesturday. This place was pretty cool, its state land that is a free for all, shot what you want and how you want. There was a bunch of targets to shoot at as you prett much throw what ever you want out there and shoot at it. We took the tommy gun, my 500 mag, a 380 LCP and Micro Desert Eagle, SKS, 410, 20 gage and a Saiga 12 gage.

I can say I had one of the best times shooting yesturday. We were out there for about 4 1/2 hours and someone was pretty much alway shooting something. The Saiga 12 was brand new and that gun was awesome to shoot. The tomy gun has three 30 round mags so that was a blast too. It was nice not having to worry about how fast we shoot or anything like that. Everyone there seemed to be shooting safely and we did a few cease fires to put more targets out. for not having any rules it turned out well.

The guy next to me let me shoot his 454 and I let him shoot my 500, I have never shot a 454 before so I thought that was pretty cool, the kick was tolerable but still had a good amount of power to it. We brought about $500 worth of ammo so we had a good time to say the least. After a while my shoulder started to hurt so I did alot of shooting from the hip, which was alot of fun. I can not wait to go back out there next time I got some cash to burn through.

heres a pic of my dad shooting the tommy gun and me with my sisters boyfriends shooting my 500 mag. This is the first time her boyfriend ever shot so he had alot of fun with all the different guns

Sounds like a blast! (No pun intended!)

If I could have any gun in the world it'd be a vintage Thompson. Even a semi auto replica would do.

yea they do clean ups every now and then. from what I understand the DNR used to supply a dumpster for when they organized a cleanup. I don't think they supply a dumpster anymore so people use their trucks. it dont take long to fill back up as you might guess.

Wow! It looks heavy on the free for all. Glad you had a good time. Reasonable participants make a difference.

Why is he pointing that gun at the sky?:D

When I handed my sisters boyfriend (the one in the picture) the 500 mag he took it and was about to shoot it one handed . I had to snatch it from him and show him how to hold it two handed. I also reassured him it would be bad if he dropped it so hold on tight lol. As you can see after firing it, he only had one hand on it so its a good thing he started out with both lol. He did pretty good for never shooting before and wasn't afraid to shoot anything we had that day.

Looks like a lot of fun. I wish I could find a range like that around here. I have a bunch of stuff I would love to shoot at. Old Playstation 1 I'm looking at you...
