Have yet to shoot the .243 but the .270 shoots as good as it looks:

I was looking for a .270 FWT with the aluminum butt plate but I went with a later one because of the nice stock.

It's been fielded and shot and it has the marks to prove it, but so what and who cares.

Damn , you almost hit that Quarter ! I have a later .243 with that tiger stripe walnut . It is pretty and never goes without comment from anyone seeing it for the first time , and it'll shoot that Quarter full of holes at 100 yds.

Actually, I was aiming at a spot about four inches down and three inches to the left.
