Good Tactical Light and Safe/Lock

Hi all,

I have a Mossberg 500A and am looking to get it tactical ready for HD. I've done some searching already and heard about the Surefire lights. What is another good light to use? I'm looking for something that mounts to the bottom tube and has a light with a remote actuator. I've seen some on Ebay and on the 'net that have on/off/momentary actuators but they seem to be either $200++ or dirt cheap ($30-40). Are the dirt cheap ones worth a crap and are the $200++ really necessary? If the $30 ones will work, I'll do it. Of course, if I had a boatload of cash, then no expense is too much for the piece of mind of a Surefire but I'd rather not spend more than the gun cost to put a light on. Also, what is everyone using to secure the shotgun to make it quick to deploy? I've got kids so I have to have something to secure it. Is a trigger lock only, with the key secured but nearby, effective/quick/responsible?

Thanks in advance for your expertise...

I don't of any other lights but if you are willing to spend the $ Surefire makes superb products. I plan to get the forearm for my HD 870 and a pistol light for mu range/hd pistol after I buy a GLOCK 17. Knoxx makes a security system that attaches to the wall. It's like a circular cable lock that can hold several weapons. www.knoxx.com

Found this safe and bought one because it ends in a couple hours. Only $39.95 and the keypad system is just like my one for short guns. Good deal I think. Now I'm scanning for a good light system.

Surefire is the way to go. You can get yourself a G2 combatlight, which can be used freehand(with a pistol like in CSI) of mounted on the bottom of a tubefeed. With that aside, a Surefire G2 will put out as much light as a 4cell Maglite in the size of a Minimag(although it doesnt quite have the thump of a 4 cell Maglite . It is a GREAT flashlight for the money
