Good stocks for custom Sniper Rifle

Anybody have any good places where I can look?
Just for parts to put together a custom sniper rifle...
I like the "tactical" look.
But anything like the R700 is pretty cool also.
Whatever I decide to put together, I'd like it in .308 or 7mm.
I want to start looking, but it'll be a while before I can get the bucks for it.
I'd also like it to be one I select the parts for.
Not a "Tactical" setup ready to buy.
From the butt to the crown, all custom.
Any thoughts or ideas?
What do you guys own?
Post some pics of yours for me?
Thanks ahead of time.

There is also one on the bottom that is a stock for a Remington 700.

But to be honest I would buy ammo and a nice scope...

DAMN!!!

I had to search the price on the rifle....
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO ME?!?! xD lol :barf: :barf:
:D

My price range is $3000
Any ideas?
Or is the "custom" part out of the question?

I love my McMillan A5, but the KMW is my favorite stock of all time, also love the manners 2TA.

If your just getting into it, i would suggest a .308 in a R700 and modify further as you go on. Mine for instance is the 700 5R, took the stock off got it bedded into a MCM A5. I still have to add DBM, put a Bartlein m24/m40 contour, get a better trigger, have it painted, and lastly get the barrel threaded for a suppressor. Optics is also another consideration. If your wanting to get into long range precision shooting you will need a quality optic. IMO i would look at the Vortex PST&razor, leupold mark 4s, NF, and USO. Those all range from 750-2000, leaving you 1000 for your rifle. I like FFP over SFP but SFP is cheaper and you will be just as effective with either. I say go .308 due to great barrel life, literally an infinite amount of reloading and ballistic data, good quality match ammo if you don't want to reload, and barrel life is great.
